Exciting Books!

Saied Tahaghoghi and I are the authors of Learning MySQL for O'Reilly Media Inc. The book has its own web site, which includes an FAQ and reviews.

With Dave Lane, I'm also the author of Web Database Applications with PHP and MySQL (2nd Edition) for O'Reilly Media Inc. The book has its own web site with source code examples, and is available in English, German, and Italian. Here are some reviews.

• I'm one of the creators of the zettair open source search engine
• I'm involved in the FSA-BLAST open source BLAST project (a DNA and protein sequence search tool)
• I took a vacation from Microsoft at the end of 2005, and came back to a funny office prank (video, on youtube)
